What can be said of Good Riddance? By far my favorite band currently together, but enough about me, let's talk record. Russ Rankin really does have a way with words does he not? "America is burning, look around it's in the air, I'm gonna be the last believer as long as I still care, AND I STILL CARE!" This album is full of this kind of angst, but it does not stop there, oh no my friend, there is more. This record is quite diverse, surprising as such an early release, and manages to hold it all together nicely. From the screams and shouts of "Weight of the World" to the light-hearted chorus of "Come Dancing" Good Riddance puts on quite a show for your listening pleasure. Other notable songs are "Sometimes", "Up and Away", and "Bittersweet." If you have never heard of Good Riddance, this is the album that you need to get. It will start you off on the right track. Believe you me, this is a band that will grow on you like man-eating bacteria. Okay so that was a horrible analogy, but hey it's my first review so bear with me. Phenomenal live show as well. Well I'm done ranting now, feel free to dissect this review and make fun of me. Peace.

this is indeed their best record.. and someone who says it was a bit dull just isn't a fan.
go listen to papa roach or something.
though i do agree with the second guy.. their last record is almost just as good.

I believe that For God and Country is one of the best PUNK albums ever, let alone best Good Riddance album. The first album of any band is where you start out at. Most good bands deviate from their original formula while mantaining their sound, and this is one band that has done that. The new album should be great with the new drummer, since they always wanted to be Lifetime anyway.

I thought this was kind of dull and lacking any edge. If there were more songs like "weight of the world" it would be much better. Maybe i'm just not cut out to be a Good Riddance fan...god, i've been listening to too much Ensign.

To all those people that say that this is their best alubm, i urge you to buy their other records.I dunno, this one seems a bit more boring than other albums, i think it has something to do with the production of the album.I still think that Ballads of the revolution has more diversity and better sound.Good album, but they've done much better.

It's a dead heat between Comprehensive and the new one (Symptoms Of A Leveling Spirit) for me. Both are spectacular!
